The Opticianado Hammond B3 Organ Cutting Contest: two Hammond B3 Organ players competing head to head, hand to hand, and foot to foot on Saturday, September 21st, from 2-5pm.
Featuring Legenday Hammond B3 Masters Kinglsey Ettienne, John T. Davis, Denis Keldie, Bernie Senensky and other surprise guests.
This once-in-a-lifetime free event will be hosted by Opticianado Eyewear in collaboration with the Junction Music Festival.
Cutting Contest – noun. 1. Cutting contests were a form of musical battle between various stride piano players between the 1920s and 1940s, and to a lesser extent in improvisatory competition on other jazz instruments during the swing era.
